Karla Nugent leads Loenbro’s Sales, Marketing & Business Development organizations as Chief Revenue Officer, a position she held at Weifield Group Contracting (A Loenbro Company) for 20+ years. As an innovator in the workforce development arena, Karla promotes Loenbro while passionately advocating for a better construction workforce and industry.

In recent years, Karla has led Colorado’s Project SCALE – Scaling Construction Access for Learners and Earners initiative. This industry-led initiative has over 25 associations & businesses working to connect and cross-map high school HBI construction curriculum into construction apprenticeships. These apprenticeship credits then cross-map into a newly-created construction associate degree with the Colorado Community College System (CCCS).

Karla currently serves on the State of Colorado Workforce Executive Council, the Colorado Business Experiential-Learning (BEL) Commission, the Colorado Business Roundtable Board of Directors (COBRT) – Executive Committee, and also serves as the Avista Hospital Trustee Board Vice Chair and Youth For Christ National Trustee Board. Her deep commitment to philanthropy and her professional achievements led her to be recognized with many awards such as the ‘AFP | Large Business Philanthropy Award,’ the Colorado Chamber’s ‘Top 25 Most Powerful Women’, the Denver Business Journal’s ‘Outstanding Women in Business’ award, and more.

Karla holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Colorado State University.
