Apple opens its doors to 11 female-founded app development companies for the inaugural session of Entrepreneur Camp. The program is designed to provide female app creators with the tools needed to thrive in today's global app economy. Since the App Store launched in 2008, developers have earned $120 billion, with more than a quarter of that in the past year alone.

Colorado's leading anti-fracking organization has filed a legal action seeking to stop the state of Colorado from reviewing any more oil and gas drilling permits until the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission finishes the lengthy process of implementing new regulations from a sweeping regulatory upgrade passed this year by the Legislature.

Javier Rodriguez is running a company he knows not everyone understands. DaVita Inc., the Denver-based kidney-care company he now leads as CEO, has been recognized for its massive growth across 2,700 dialysis centers. It's a Fortune 500 company, with revenue of $11.4 billion and net income of $159.39 million, according to Denver Business Journal research. It's currently working with the Trump administration to shift kidney care from just dialysis centers to more home care.

As manager of the GE Aviation plant in Lafayette, I know that GE's Hoosier workers are among the most skilled in the world. Every day, more than 650 GE Aviation employees based in Lafayette and Terre Haute produce components and assemble next-generation jet engines and ship these products to customers around the world. We're proud of this work. It's allowed us to become a global leader in jet engine and aircraft system production.

In rural Colorado, families too often see that what makes a good campaign slogan or promise doesn't translate well into good public policy that helps struggling communities. This is especially true in the case of government run health care proposals. Particularly for community-based oncology clinics in rural communities throughout Colorado, a government run health care insurance system could undermine access to life-saving medicines and more.

In a statement this afternoon, Business Roundtable welcomed progress made between the U.S. and China on important trade issues that will delay tariff increases and begin leveling the playing field for American workers and businesses. "We look forward to reviewing the details of this announcement and urge both governments to work toward making additional structural reforms in China and eliminating tariffs. Business Roundtable CEOs will continue to support ongoing negotiations toward these goals," the statement said.
