Connect & Collaborate has formed a partnership with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) to promote the many resources in place to help businesses run more smoothly and in keeping with state laws and regulations. We’ll talk about Colorado STEM Roadmap, the collaborative approach to ensuring that every student in Colorado has an opportunity to learn STEM competencies and explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math; as well as how these skills apply across all industries and occupations. 

May 18 - Brittany Evans - Clear Intentions
Clear Intentions takes recycling seriously. Brittany Evans has developed a system for recycling glass bottles, which are often missed in the single stream recycling efforts. To prevent glass, which can be re-used, re-shaped and re-purposed from ending up in landfills, Clear Intentions offers a variety of programs to intervene.

As the legislative session approaches it's close, Fix Colorado Roads is still hoping for progress. SB 16-210 asks the state to combine a new, stable general fund investment in transportation infrastructure with a continued CDOT commitment  to fund a $3.5 billion Fix Colorado Roads bond progam. Sandra Solin will explain how it will work and define the need. Be ready to call your legislator.

John Herrington on Energy Policy


Jim Salestrom, a renowned singer, song writer and guitarist who has toured all over the world and met the most incredible people. Jim is our host today introducing us to his good friend, John Herrington.

John Herrington served as US Secretary of Energy during the Reagan Administration, has enjoyed a thriving legal career, and many other ventures.  We will talk about current policy regarding fossil fuels, and more about our relationships with other countries concerning energy. 



First Week of Expanded Show Recalls Past Favorite Moments

As you may have heard, on-line or on air, Connect and Collaborate has expanded from one show per week to five. Shift your dial to its new slot and station, Denver's Money Talk 1690 AM from 4-5 p.m. Monday through Friday to listen as our founder Gayle Dendinger, President Jeff Wasden and producer Tammy Schmidt meet an array of rotating sponsor hosts each with their own guests.

Hosts this week included Mark Alpert, South Metro Denver Chamber discussing workforce and education statewide; Garrett Bussiere with CereScan brain scan imaging on their presence at Super Bowl 50; Peter Moore of Vital for Colorado's advocacy for responsible oil and natural gas development; and Phil McKinney, an innovator speaking about hacking autism, i.e. creating technology to improve work and school for those on the autism spectrum.
