July 7 Meg Sagaria-Barritt – Poverty Hack-a-Thon
For the second year in a row, the Posner Center for International Development is bringing together Posner organizations, the Colorado international development community, entrepreneurs, members of the tech community, and educators to create collaborative, innovative solutions to international development challenges faced by Posner Center Tenants. We’ll talk with Meg Sagaria-Barrit about the event coming up July 10-12.

July 8 - Owen Loftus – Colorado Priority  
Colorado is one of the fastest growing states with one of the best economies in the country, yet falls behind in funding for education and transportation, and fails to meet the growing demand for mental health services and senior services. We will talk with Owen Loftus of Colorado Priority about a proposal to allow Colorado to keep and invest funds into education, including pre-school through twelfth grade education, vocational education and higher education, as well as transportation and other projects.

Anthony Lambatos shares his experience running a second generation business. He also introduces us to other food industry titans in Colorado to discuss company culture, hiring, and other workplace strategies.
 
June 21 – Rick Barrera – Heart Led Leadership
Rick joins us to share his network of incredible leaders and speakers from the Center for  Heart Led Leadership.  His guest is Rick Tetzeli, co-author of Becoming Steve Jobs. He’ll share his perspective on the infamous Apple creator from various interviews from Steve Jobs’ life and career.
 
June 22 – Rebecca Laurie – DORA  
Connect & Collaborate has formed a partnership with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) to promote the many resources in place to help businesses run more smoothly and in keeping with state laws and regulations. Today, we’ll discuss the DORA Insurance division and the many ways they help businesses and consumers.
 
June 23 –  Jeff Krebbs – Make-A-Wish Colorado   
Make–A–Wish Colorado helps grant more than 4,400 such wishes to deserving children throughout the state. Jeff Krebbs will introduce us to Brent from Loveland Products, a locally owned company that makes wish granting a part of their employee engagement.
 
June 24 – Holly Green – The Human Factor  
Holly Green is a consultant, speaker, entrepreneur, business leader and mom. As CEO and managing director of the Human factor, Holly helps business leaders and their companies achieve excellence. We’ll discuss an AMA survey which suggests that may C-level executives are stuck in a leadership bubble – and how to break out.

June 14 – Mark Schneider - President of College Measures partnership with American Institutes of Research and Lead Researcher for LaunchMyCareerColorado.org. Launch My Career Colorado will help students, working adults and businesses connect in novel ways for a sustainably-thriving workforce and economy. Colorado was selected as the first state in which to debut this resource. LaunchMyCareerColorado.org, is a project of U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Center for Education and Workforce; Gallup, Inc.; and the American Institutes of Research College Measures partnership. Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry (CACI) is leading the charge in Colorado. 

June 15 – ADAPT Center at Colorado School of Mines
Alliance for the Development of Adaptive Technologies is a consortium of academic, industry and government institutions with a unified goal of making the promises of Additive Manufacturing a reality. We will talk with Heidi Hostetter and Aaron Stebner about the potential of a third industrial revolution, starting here in Colorado. 

June 16 – Paul Bergman – U.S. Department of Commerce  
Paul Bergman, Director of the United States Commercial Service – Denver Export Assistance Center introduces us to key players in Denver who help make exporting easy and profitable for businesses of all sizes. 

June 17 - Peter Moore – VITAL for Colorado  
Peter Moore, President and CEO of VITAL for Colorado is a regular contributor to Connect & Collaborate, discussing the importance of energy production in the state. VITAL for Colorado is a coalition of industry leaders throughout Colorado is a coalition of industry leaders throughout Colorado who support a rational, well-regulated and competitive regulatory environment for energy production.

June 8 – Chancellor Mike Martin, Colorado State University
Chancellor Mike Martin of CSU talks about the Hispanic Higher Education Attainment Gap: how it impacts the success of the Hispanic community, the challenges and solutions for better education.

June 9 – Edgar Johansson, Colorado Space Business Roundtable  
The President of the Colorado Space Business Roundtable introduces us to major players in our state’s thriving aerospace industry.

June 10 – Greg Bashaw, Colorado MicroBusiness Alliance  
Greg introduces us to Adam Melnick, Chief Entrepreneurship Officer and General Counsel for Colorado Lending Source. Colorado Lending Source has loaned more than $4 million to Colorado small business owners. They use unique “character based” criteria for assessing an applicant’s credit worthiness. Colorado Lending Source also provides the famous Ice House Entrepreneurship training.

Engaged Public partners with citizens, civic leaders and public and private stakeholders to tackle complex public challenges head on. We will talk with Brenda Morrison, partner with Engaged public about some of the tools and resources they have developed to educate the public about tax and budget issues.   

May 17 -  Stephanie Veck - Colorado Workforce Development Council  
As one of COBRT’s partner agencies, CWDC joins us monthly to discuss progress in growing our state’s talent pipeline for a strong workforce. We’ll talk about Colorado STEM Roadmap, the collaborative approach to ensuring that every student in Colorado has an opportunity to learn STEM competencies and explore careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math; as well as how these skills apply across all industries and occupations. 

May 18 - Brittany Evans - Clear Intentions
Clear Intentions takes recycling seriously. Brittany Evans has developed a system for recycling glass bottles, which are often missed in the single stream recycling efforts. To prevent glass, which can be re-used, re-shaped and re-purposed from ending up in landfills, Clear Intentions offers a variety of programs to intervene.

We’ll talk with Joe Daly about Entrepreneurial Profile 10 Matrix  – a program developed by Gallup to identify and assess the aptitudes and skill sets of youth for entrepreneurial endeavors. Gallup is meeting with Denver leaders to explain details of a new program that has already launched in three U.S. and three international cities.

March 24 – Greg Bashaw – Colorado Microbusiness Alliance  
Greg Bashaw, Executive Director of the Colorado MicroBusiness Alliance will tell us about the group’s efforts to develop a legislative voice for small businesses, and help identify and change some of the regulatory rules which are burdensome to smaller companies.

March 25 – Patrick Kelly – Change Point Consulting
We’ll discuss generational differences in the work place, specifically the traits of millennials and how employers can better engage with this much-talked-about group to prepare them manage business in the near future.
