The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) reduced taxes for the vast majority of Americans and has the potential to boost wages by encouraging new business investment. However, the impact could vary by household and geography. To illustrate the potential differences, the Tax Foundation has launched a new interactive map that allows users to see average 2018 tax cuts in their congressional district and across the country.

President Donald J. Trump Is Achieving A Safe And Secure Future In Space
FURTHER SPACE DEVELOPMENT: President Donald J. Trump signed Space Policy Directive - 3 directing the United States to lead the management of traffic and mitigate the effects of debris in space. "This is a giant step toward inspiring future generations and toward reclaiming America's proud destiny in space," President Donald Trump.

Business Roundtable today issued a statement opposing the Administration's announcement it will impose a 25 percent tariff on Chinese goods. "Rather than allowing time for constructive negotiations to produce results, today's action invites China to hit back at American businesses, farmers, communities and families," the statement said, adding that risking a trade war was the wrong approach toward resolving the Administration's concerns about China's discriminatory practices. The statement concluded: "Business Roundtable also opposes the Administration's misguided focus on temporarily reducing America's trade deficit with China through goods purchases. To make lasting progress, the Administration should collaborate more with U.S. allies who have also been harmed by these practices to pressure China to implement tangible and enforceable reforms for the long term."

Cybersecurity is a cost of doing business with government-but it doesn't have to be an unreasonable financial hit. The most important message about being compliant with the NIST 800-171 guidelines is simply "get started". Put your action plan together and work the plan! This workshop will walk you through the cybersecurity guidelines, talk you through a preliminary self-assessment, and offer templates to help you define and implement your security program. Questions addressed during the workshop include the following:
  • Why should we care about cybersecurity and NIST 800-171?
  • What is at risk (business and contractual impact)?
  • What are current and emerging supply chain threat exposure concerns?
  • Which areas did DOD identify in recent audits as the most common for noncompliance?
  • Where do we start?
Let Manufacturer's Edge help you boost your cyber (and business) resiliency and defend your competitive position within the aerospace and defense supply chain. Don't be the weak link!
