Dan Powers, Executive Director of CO-LABS joins us to share the CO-LABS 2017 Economic Impact Study. The study provides an overview of our state’s 33 federally funded labs and their impact to the state. We will discuss the programs in place, the thousands of people employed and the companies that are created as result of CO-LABS.
Dan will talk with Brian Lewandowski, Associate Director of the Business Research Division at the Leeds School of Business, University of Colorado Boulder, discussing the study which reveals how dynamic research nurtures Colorado's innovation economy.
We will also connect with business leaders who can describe how the science from different labs are at the core of their company's business model and how they commercialize that data.
