Colorado Business Roundtable is excited to announce our newest partner, OEDIT! We are thankful for your support and excited to work with you in the future!
U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, a Republican, and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, a Democrat, on Friday urged support for Dreamers during a discussion on the Colorado Compact on Immigration hosted at the St. Cajetan's Event Center in Denver. The compact is a set of principles calling for immigration reform, and Friday's event ended up coinciding with a Supreme Court announcement that could affect thousands of immigrant residents in Colorado. The highest court said it will decide whether President Trump can end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA. The program was started by President Obama could end under Trump, who gave the order to end the program in 2017.

Our surging economy has brought with its adundant job opportunities. Tax cuts and deregulation have boosted job creation. Since President Donald Trump's inauguration in January 2017, 5.4 million jobs have been created and more people are working in America than ever before. The unemployment rate has dropped to 3.6%, the lowest rate since 1969, and last year we saw the highest share of people entering our labor force from the sidelines since we started tracking in the early 1990s. Through the White House's Pledge to America's Workers, job creators around the nation have committed to nearly 10 million training, upskilling or reskilling opportunities for American students and workers.

As the 2020 race for president already heats up and Democrats have launched into a season of all-important televised debates, one bit of encouraging news has emerged: Both Coloradans seeking the Democratic nomination oppose the massively expensive "Medicare for All" proposal. That's Colorado common sense on a national stage. To show leadership, however, they should also oppose Medicare buy-in style proposals as well.

DENVER, July 1, 2019 - At AT&T, we've invested more than $400 million in our Denver metro wireless networks during 2016-2018. We've also improved critical services that support Public Safety and first responders using the FirstNet communications platform.

The Missiles and Fire Control, MFC, division of Lockheed Martin won a lucrative $561.8 million contract from the U.S. government for missile production. Some of the work will be conducted in Boulder, according to the U.S. Department of Defense, but the missile systems will be produced at the Lockheed Martin Corp. manufacturing facility in Camden, Arkansas.

Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA)'s Annual Report for the 2018 fiscal year. For over 30 years, CBCA has advanced Colorado's creative economy by connecting business and arts through advocacy, research, training, volunteerism and arts engagement.

In an interview on Yahoo! Finance this week, Chairman Jamie Dimon highlighted the work of Business Roundtable CEOs in pressing for congressional passage of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). "We're going to work really hard to get it passed," said Dimon, Chairman & CEO, JPMorgan Chase. "You know, the membership of the BRT wants that deal done." Dimon also spoke about U.S.-China trade negotiations in anticipation of President Trump's meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the G-20 in Osaka, Japan, expressing hope that an agreement would be completed by the end of 2019. Business Roundtable continues to advocate for passage of USMCA and supports an agreement with China that addresses long-standing structural issues while removing tariffs.
