Three of Colorado's top Democratic political leaders on Wednesday rallied on behalf of 17,000 immigrant children in the state who could face deportation because of possibly forthcoming legal challenges to an Obama-era immigration program. 

Lt. Gov. Donna Lynne joined U.S. Rep. Jared Polis and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock at a Denver news conference touting the contributions of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals recipients in Colorado, contending they contribute an estimated $857 million to the state's annual gross domestic product.

CEOs Continue National Campaign to Press the Case for Tax Reform
CEOs this week remained central in making the case for tax reform, appearing in interviews and writing columns to urge Congress to pass reform legislation. In a widely reported CNBC interview, Business Roundtable Chairman Jamie Dimon, Chairman, President and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, outlined the BRT's national campaign - including this ad - and said its goal was to educate Congress and the public about "how important tax reform is for jobs, and wages, and business and small business. It's not about big corporations, it's about our country." Julie Sweet, CEO of Accenture North America, highlighted tax reform as an economic priority in a Fox Business interview. John Hayes, Chairman, President and CEO of Ball Corporation, authored a Denver Post column, "Tax reform for the long term." CEOs, company representatives and BRT remained active on social media, and Washington offices continued educational meetings on Capitol Hill. 
The Chairman's Initiative of South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard will leverage the region's best thinking to bridge the gap between prospective workers and employers in the West. The goal will be to create enhanced career opportunities for students, graduates displaced workers to help build a more vibrant regional economy. 

Colorado ranks as the nation's easiest state for starting, operating and growing an internet business in a national online trade group's new report.

The report - "Ease of Doing Internet Business" - is from the Internet Association, representing major internet companies on public policy matters. Its members include  Amazon.com Inc.,  Microsoft Corp.,  Alphabet Inc.'s  GoogleFacebook Inc.,  Netflix Inc. and  Uber Technologies Inc. among many others.

Colorado scores a top score of 100 from the association for ease of doing internet business, ahead of Washington state (98.1), Utah (96.67), Maryland (91.9) and Massachusetts (90.48).
